Bride Cancels The Wedding For A Hilarious Reason In A Real Drama Queen Style
Being a bride is an exciting yet emotional journey, which is why some brides can become unreasonable and overly demanding when planning their special day.
You want to feel like royalty and have your dreams come true. But if anything goes wrong, it can feel overwhelming, leading to panic.
However, no one tops this bride’s reaction when her grand wedding plan abruptly fell apart.
“All we asked was for a little help from family and friends to make it happen”
This former bride-to-be shared her story about the wedding plan that simply unraveled.
She and her fiancé had been together since high school, and he proposed when she was 18. Later, they had a son and began planning an extravagant wedding, setting aside money for it. Eventually, they saved up $1,500.
“Since our love was like a fairy tale, we wanted an extraordinary wedding, one where our son could participate.”
They struggled to choose between two venues, so they sought advice from a psychic who suggested the pricier option in Aruba. Along with flight tickets, the total cost would be close to $60,000.
Clearly, they couldn’t afford such an expense. The bride-to-be thought up a scheme to fund her dream wedding by asking guests to pay a hefty entrance fee.
When some guests expressed discomfort with the idea because they couldn’t afford it, she called off the wedding and broke up with her fiancé.
She announced the cancellation on Facebook four days before the event, detailing her decision.
“It comes with great sadness that I am announcing the cancellation of the wedding…”
She explained how she and her fiancé split due to “insurmountable problems” but would remain “amicable” for their son’s sake. The decision was made “after hours of tears and emotional exhaustion”.

She planned a two-week recovery from the “toxicity” of her family and friends, followed by a two-month trip abroad. As she felt let down by everyone, she planned to delete her Facebook account and asked not to be contacted.
“You’re all tangled in this mess”
Growing more dramatic, she blamed everyone for ruining her wedding in various ways and invited the Facebook community to read her story, where she’d share her side of the events leading to the cancellation.

The woman insisted she “SPECIFICALLY requested cash gifts” with a minimum contribution of… brace yourself – $1,500! I mean, this bride was beyond reason!
The maid of honor and her ex-fiancé’s family initially pledged a few thousand dollars. So she thought it was fair to ask other guests to contribute $1,500. Those who couldn’t pay shouldn’t bother attending.

“I just wanted to be a Kardashian for a day”
To her shock, only eight people RSVP’d with a check. Additionally, the groom’s family withdrew their support, as did the maid of honor and some friends.
Buckle up, it gets wilder!
Desperate, they started a GoFundMe campaign, but only raised $250!
Her dream wedding had become a nightmare!

When her fiancé suggested a Las Vegas wedding, she was deeply offended and had a panic attack.
“Am I supposed to love the idea of getting married in the heart of shady gamblers, alcoholics, and the get-rich-quick fantasy?”

Get real, woman!
She called her maid of honor for comfort, but received “harsh” comments about her excessive demands and advice to stay within budget.
“I called her a poor excuse for a friend and hung up.”
The maid of honor then blocked her on social media and mocked her with other bridesmaids, calling her crazy.
When guests asked for refunds, the ex-bride-to-be refused and even demanded they pay her back for the emotional distress.

This bride clearly lost touch with reality. Can you imagine asking people to throw away money just so YOU could have a luxurious wedding?
I just hope she came to her senses afterward and realized how unreasonable she was.
